2025-2026
WV HOSA Executive Council

President
Jasmine Christensen
Cabell Midland High School
Hi, I’m Jasmine Christensen, your WV HOSA President! A lot has changed since I first stepped on stage last year. I’m now heading into my senior year at Cabell Midland High School, where I’ve been sharpening my MA and PCT skills to gain real-world healthcare experience throughout college. And speaking of college, I’ve realized I’m less of a scrub girl and more of a suit girl. I hope to one day trade in my HOSA blues for another kind of presidential attire as I pursue a career in healthcare administration and public policy. I’ve been passionate about HOSA since the moment it first popped up on my social media feed. With six incredible classmates and one amazing teacher, we built the first-ever chapter at our school, which has now grown into one of the largest in West Virginia. HOSA changed everything for me. It gave me purpose when I felt lost, drive when I doubted myself, and a community that reminded me I belonged. I’ve grown into someone who not only believes in the power of service, leadership, and hard work but now I get to live it with some of my forever friends. It’s more than an organization. It’s home. A place where I’ve found lifelong friends, unforgettable experiences, and the courage to chase a future bigger than I ever imagined. Continuing to create connections is one of the most important things about HOSA to me, feel free to reach out to me at Jnchris2@stu.k12.wv.us !

Historian

My name is Cameron Edwards, and I'm your WV HOSA Historian. I attended South Charleston High School and Ben Franklin Career Center. I’ve been playing volleyball for 7 years, and this upcoming season will be my senior season! I’m also a competitive dancer. I love dancing so much. I was first introduced to HOSA by my teacher, Ms. Holston. At first, I was nervous about joining HOSA, but my excitement outweighed any fear I had. Becoming a state officer was the best thing that could have happened to me. It’s such an honor. I have met so many new people from all over the world. I have made friendships that will last a lifetime. HOSA has helped me be more confident in myself and my ability to further my medical career. I found a sense of belonging in HOSA. Being a state officer and being a part of HOSA is a major part of my life. I have a strong passion for HOSA, and my goal as an officer is to get as many people involved as I can! Reporter
Hydee Wykle
Greenbrier East High School
Hello! I'm Hydee Wykle, your WV HOSA Reporter.  I am a student at Greenbrier East High School with a passion for Sports Medicine and a genuine love for learning about healthcare. I’m energetic, optimistic, and always try to bring light to the room. HOSA has been one of the most impactful parts of my life not only professionally but also as a person. I’ve met incredible people, traveled to new places, and continue to gain experiences that open doors for knowledge I won’t find written in a textbook. But even more than the opportunities it’s the connections that have ment the most. HOSA helps me discover who I am, what I stand for, and how I want to grow and represent myself. It pushes me to become the best version of myself, while also giving me the chance to support others in finding their purpose too. Whether it’s helping someone step out of their comfort zone or guiding others towards HOSA, I am learning the power of lifting others up while growing myself. Being a part of HOSA gives the next generation including me, a space to grow together, not alone. More than anything, that sense of belonging, pasion, purpose, and drive that I have found nowhere but HOSA is why it is so important to who I am and who I want to be professionally and personally. contact info: hydeewykle@gmail.com instagram: hydeecw facebook: hydeecw

Secondary Representative
Alauna Ellis
Academy of Careers & Technology
My name is Alauna Ellis, and I am your WV HOSA Secondary Representative. I am a student at Woodrow Wilson High School as well as the Academy of Careers and Technology where I am in the Therapeutic Services program. I am a varsity basketball player, a member of HOBY, and National Honor Society. Everything I do academically is geared towards one day becoming a Pediatrician. HOSA has provided opportunities I could have never imagined and gave me a community of people who both share similar goals and support mine. I believe that with HOSA I have been set up for a better chance at success, but more importantly I have learned more about myself; about who I am and can be, which to me is endlessly valuable. This year the WV HOSA officer team is focused on creating a true sense of community that continues to grow even after our time as leaders ends. Through monthly service projects and intentional engagement on social media we hope to bring members together in ways that feel genuine supportive and lasting. We believe that when people feel seen heard and connected, they are more empowered to make a difference not just in HOSA but in the world around them.
Our mission is about more than leadership or events. It is about planting seeds of compassion collaboration and purpose that will continue to bloom long after we are gone. By strengthening the bond between officers and delegates and encouraging teamwork across chapters we are building something that lasts a community that future members can step into with pride and continue to grow.
Motto:
WV HOSA: Better Together!
